Maintaining Your Computer
The Computer Tutor Maintenance Program is recommended so that you can be sure that your Windows programs are up-to-date, your antivirus protection is current, and your system is properly maintained outlined by the following:
Basic Maintenance Program​

Error-Checking checks your files and folders for cross-linked programs and the hard drive for bad sectors, which could indicate a crash is imminent.

Defrag: Defragments your programs so that your programs run as quickly as they can.

Disk Cleanup: rids your computer of left-over print files, and temporary files from your on-line sessions that use up disk space.

Antivirus Updates - make sure that your virus definitions are up to date, your system is free of viruses, your program is functioning properly, and your protection is appropriate.

System Optimization program eliminates cookies and extra files and helps systems run more efficiently.

Configuration adjustment: Turn off many unnecessary TSR’s (Terminate and Stay Resident) programs that slow system performance and can cause system conflicts. A list of programs for consideration will be made and their functions discussed so you may choose what you want to keep and eliminate.
