Global Revolution
It took a global revolution to bring us to discover we humans needed a mission to keep us from killing each other. Humanity needs a mission to keep us working together. An impossible quest can do that if we can believe that it isn’t impossible.
We can fake ourselves out.
We do it all the time.
We’re good at it.
The Revolution
Fed up with lies, enslavement, manipulation, global resource destruction, the citizens of our world had had enough. The protests started in cities and soon nations around the world had a global uprising of humanity demanding radical change. Hierarchies were replaced by fair, logical, and intelligent systems transparent to all citizens and agreed upon after much debate.
The lies of the powerful were done. The people of the world demanded truth and that meant starting from scratch and reviewing every bit of knowledge ever recorded and all new information. Facts would be tested for truth by thousands of sources around the world before it could be accepted into the repository of global knowledge eventually called simply, "The Library".
Truth was assigned to a world organization and verified knowledge was required to be vetted on a scale system of trustworthiness. Every fact was reviewed and researched by many trusted authorities. Originally, the organization was named the Universal International University and Repository of All Verified Knowledge but as humans do, they shortened the pretentious name. It became known as "The College"
War was outlawed by all nations and every nation had a duty to stop conflict at the moment conflict began.
Resources were developed to be available to all parts of the earth through a global transportation and distribution system every nation built.
Wealth was redefined and money was no longer needed as a merit system for every individual was established and banked for use by the individual and could not be transferred.
All products were made in sufficient quantity and designed to last as they would be used by all citizens of the world.
All work was done by those whose interest and capacity to do the work qualified them for it.
Everyone had the opportunity to rise to any level their talent, training, interest, and ability allowed.
Everyone was valued by the effort and contribution made to finding “The Source”.
Anyone found to detract from effort to finding The Source was considered an enemy of the planet and rehabilitated or removed from society.
The Mission
Humanity's goal was to discover The Source of humanity, life, and creation of the universe. The brilliance of the mission was that no one still in power thought that finding The Source would be likely and so the perpetual and multi-generational effort would keep humanity striving for a goal forever. The whole planet involved in a mission requiring cooperation of all nations would foster a universal peace and unity.
Little did anyone realize that humanity would actually find The Source and much sooner than anyone would have believed.
The Journey
Once humanity focused on a single mission, the progress earthlings made was incalculable. We turned our weaponry into tools and our laws in to taking care of every person, every product, every company, every bit of mother earth. We raised the standard of living for all peoples and equity in all things. There was no profit motive to destroy us. There was no grabbing shares of wealth because all wealth belonged to all people.
Every human need was satisfied and every want was available to those with the interest and ability to work for it.
We no longer destroyed each other or stole from each other. All basic needs were met so there were no shortages that triggered survival instincts leading to crime.
There were imperfections, of course. The journey was evolving and that’s where we begin…
“ “Human history reveals the best and worst of human behavior
and is a lesson plan for human progress and evolution.”
Wherever we went wrong we now go right. We learn from our history what to do and what not to do. We make all the good of humanity the path, and the bad of humanity, the enemy of it.
The Challenges
At the start, we had to take all the knowledge including philosophy and religion and vet it. No religion was right or wrong nor could it be used to force citizens to comply with them. If a religion, for example had a theory, it was tested and proven, or it would stay an untruth until it could be proven or verified. The source then, was the seeking of truth and until it was fact, it was considered fiction and not allowed to influence law or have power over any verified truth.
Believers were allowed to make effort to verify any belief and present the evidence to the College for evaluation. The College was the gatekeeper to the Library which only held vetted information and labeled all pieces of knowledge with a ranking of truth confidence.
The Truth Confidence rating was on a scale of 1 to 100 and every idea received a rating so that the reader or researcher could have a level of confidence in the information. The higher the truth rating the higher the confidence that the information was true and could be acted upon in the search for The Source.
The Library was created as a global network of all the knowledge of the world [so far] so that everyone had this resource available to them. Some knowledge was considered sensitive or secret only due to the nature of the information and the ability of the individual to use the information appropriately.
An individual not at a level of training or ability who comes across a random piece of information without the right credentials could misuse or misconstrue the information. All persons were permitted to rise to any level their interest and capacity would allow but those not yet at a level of training would have to work hard to achieve the level required to access secured information.
The Discovery
We went looking for the Source of the universe. We went into space, following the religious contention that God was somewhere else. Maybe studying the cosmos would reveal more of creation and lead to the creator.
The Meeting
God was found. Nobody could believe it at first. His existence was confirmed and meetings were held. The creator of the Universe sat as he had been described in so many ancient texts. He materialize for our researchers so that he could be seen and then he opened the ability to see the spirit world for them and they were amazed. To stay on task, they asked the prepared questions required by the College to verify the Truth of Him.
When they asked why the rules he laid down were so important, he revealed what no one would have suspected.
Good people have sweet souls and God has a sweet tooth. He loves to dine on good souls as they are the most delicious and tender. Bad souls need to be cooked to be palatable.
There is no flavor in souls that haven’t been mortal. All the trials and tribulations mortality brings, seasons a soul, profoundly. There are bitter souls and salty souls, and sour souls, too. There are also many flavors humans don’t have a reference for, but sweet souls are the best and they take special care to nurture. There are never enough sweet souls for God so he came to earth many times to promote the kind of living that creates the sweetest and tenderest souls.
The Conclusion
The researchers put in their notes the following 2 statements:
We have been farmed as soul food.
We are The God Fodder.
But wait…
This was very disappointing to the researchers. When this word got back to earth they thought that there would be trouble.
Then something that was even more unexpected happened. A door from another dimension opened and a larger God entered. The God of Earth trembled a little.
“He has not spoken all the truth you seek” said the big God. Turning to the God of Earth and the heavens, "The 'I'm the one and only God' business was a problem and I told you that it would be, Bobby."
“Yes, poppa”, Bobby mumbled.
“There are many of our kind in the multiverse.” Poppa God revealed. “Bobby was once like Man. When he created earth and all that was on it we tolerated the way he set it up as it was the way things were for him: It’s what he knew."
Poppa God continued, "Things eating things to survive is not ideal and not the multiverse standard. It is barbaric, actually. When you have the power to create anything, why set up a system where one thing lives by feeding on something else that lives? It is tragic design. The idea of a food-chain is horrible. Just horrible. Bobby's appetite is to blame. Just because he is a gourmet, he thinks all creatures should be, too."
Poppa God further explained, "We can easily create a universe not based on death for life. Most multiverses are not so cruel. Bobby is young. We love Him. What can you do? We've found with the young ones, the first billion years are the hardest."
"He will learn and grow over the millions of millennia to come. He could be outside time but he chooses not to be there. He’d rather play in the universe and create as he goes. Bobby knows the end from the beginning, so we don’t understand it (and that’s saying something for us.) Where is the surprise? What is the point if you know it all already?”
Poppa God shakes his mighty head, “Most of us choose not to read the end of the book first. Ignorance actually is bliss when you’re a god. Otherwise there is no surprise; no joke that makes us laugh -- because we already know the punchline. Ok, some jokes are funny twice but not like the first time. But to choose ignorance is within our powers too, so why not?” Poppa God looks at Bobby God with a sigh and sad eyes.
Then He turns to speak to us. “Your search has not ended. Truth is much larger than you can know yet, but we all look forward to witnessing your quest for it.”
The researchers were shocked: The God of Earth's name is Bobby!
Going Beyond
The second God was comforting, in a way. There is much more to explore. The quest has not ended. Humanity will still have it's quest; it's impossible dream to keep them progressing as a species.
The disturbing thing still remains in that our souls are to be eaten. Is that one of God’s little jokes? Dog is the reverse spelling of God but we end up the same in the end, so to speak. Do we end up as god poo?
Do we taste like chicken?
Can 2 different souls eaten together taste like sweet and sour?
Are any of us as delicious as baclava?
What happened to the promise of everlasting life? A promise is a promise! Although an all-powerful god need not be fair or even truthful unless that’s a Poppa God Rule.
Do we get recycled? Does it hurt? Do we live through it? Do we have to live through it?
Is Satan grossly misunderstood? Does this put Satan’s effort to make us bad souls, a rescue effort for our souls’ sake? If we are bad, will God not eat us? Or do we have to be fried in Hell to be palatable?
there are still so many questions yet to be answered.
Poppa God disappears through the other dimension door and then, puts his head back through it to say, "Just one more thing: Bobby doesn't actually eat souls for real: we wouldn't let him, that is not our style. He just loves to taste the mortal flavors that are left on a returning soul, so he swallows them as part of a cleansing method. I know it's weird but it doesn't hurt. It certainly doesn't kill, in fact, it feels really good to get all the weight of the world off your soul so you can move on to your next adventure. It's sort of like a water slide. You'll see. It's fun. There is nothing to fear."
The researchers are ecstatic at this news. They argue about telling earthlings about the cleansing method though, for a long time.
New Discovery
Truth is truth whether you like it or not. We will have to keep exploring. We must find and verify, find and verify, ad nauseum. That is humanity's mission, now.
The Truth
How do we learn to access the truth in the multiverse as mortal beings? Can we get Bobby God to assist us in our search for meaning? Will God lift the veil for us while we are still mortal so we can explore the other universes? Can we find the God of all Gods? Is there some force beyond God's power that rules existence?
I guess that’s next.
