We woke to a full day of moderate rain so we stayed in. We’ve been here a few days now in La Conner RV Park. The spaces are tree covered for the most part and we are one road away from the water.
Yesterday, we got together with Kathy’s sister, Laura and her husband, Ed and son, David. We met outside the park and went to lunch at a local casino. It was good to be with other people and share some news of family happenings.

We came back to the park and sat outside for a while. We went into the Ark and talked and sat for a time inside until Kathy got tired. I drove them back to their van and we talked some more.
We have set another get-together for Tuesday when we will go to their home to visit for the day.
To save some money, I had them park outside the park and drove them in. On my way back, I felt wrong about it so I stopped in and paid the entrance fee for them. I like to be able to be proud of who I am.
Paying for it mostly restored the damage I had done to my integrity. Some would call me foolish to pay when I had successfully bypassed the issue. Getting away with something wrong takes its toll, as well.
I’m under no delusion that I do it for anyone but myself. Self-respect has been my only asset from time to time in my life and I can’t afford to lose that.
My energy is unpredictable. Some days I feel normal with sufficient energy to get through the day and handle whatever needs to be done. Other days, I start fine and drop off to the point I have to sleep a few hours in the afternoon. I slept until 12:45PM today or rather yesterday as it is now 2:17AM at this writing and I am just now considering trying to sleep again. I went to bed at 11:30 but could not sleep so I have used my sleeplessness to update my journal.
